Symptom Diagnosis

NOTE: Testing is available for the following symptoms. If a listed symptom matches the customer's concern, perform the appropriate test under SYMPTOM TESTS .

NOTE: Symptom testing is not available for 2002 Q45. Refer to WIRING DIAGRAMS to assist in diagnosis.

Selector lever cannot be moved from "P" position with key in ON position and brake pedal depressed. See SYMPTOM NO. 1 .
Selector lever can be moved from "P" position with key in ON position and brake pedal released. See SYMPTOM NO. 1 .
Selector lever can be moved from "P" position when key is removed from key cylinder. See SYMPTOM NO. 1 .
Key cannot be removed when selector lever is in "P" position and can be removed when selector lever is moved to any other position. See SYMPTOM NO. 2 .
