July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Test 3: ASCD Hold Relay Circuit Check

  1. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Remove ASCD hold relay. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Measure voltage between at terminal No. 7 (White/Black wire) at ASCD hold relay connector. See Fig 1. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, check the following and repair as necessary:
    • Faulty fuse No. 11 (7.5-amp) in instrument panel fuse box.
    • Open or short in harness between fuse and ASCD hold relay.
  2. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Check continuity between ground and terminal No. 2 (Black wire) at ASCD hold relay connector. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, repair open or poor connection in Black wire.
  3. Check continuity between terminals No. 1 (Brown wire) and No. 6 (Black/White wire) at ASCD hold relay connector. If continuity does not exist, go to next step. If continuity exists, check ASCD hold relay. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
  4. Check ASCD MAIN switch. See SWITCHES  under COMPONENT TESTS. If ASCD MAIN switch is defective, replace ASCD MAIN switch. If ASCD MAIN switch is okay, go to TEST 4: ASCD BRAKE/BRAKELIGHT SWITCH CHECK .
