Distributor Ignition (Di) System

Distributor ignition system uses one ignition coil with an integral power transistor located within distributor. Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor is also located within distributor. If any of these components are defective, entire distributor assembly must be replaced (except distributor cap and rotor). PCM controls ignition coil, based on certain inputs, by triggering power transistor.
