July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Removal & Installation

  1. Release fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE under FUEL SYSTEM.
  2. Drain cooling system. Disconnect throttle and cruise control cables. Disconnect electrical and vacuum hose connections as necessary for removal of upper intake manifold. Disconnect EGR valve flare tubing. Remove upper intake manifold bolts and upper intake manifold. Remove injectors from fuel rail assembly. See Fig 1 .
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Replace injector rubber "O" rings. Install injectors on fuel rail. Start engine and check for fuel leaks.
