Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
  2. Disconnect the battery sensor connector (A) and battery negative (-) terminal.

    Battery Negative (-) Terminal Tightening Nut: 

    4.0 ~ 6.0 N.m (0.4 ~ 0.6 kgf.m, 3.0 ~ 4.4 lb-ft)

  3. Disconnect the battery.

    (Refer to Engine Electrical System - "BATTERY ")

  4. Remove the battery sensor & battery negative (-) cable assembly after loosening the sensor cable mounting bolt (A).

    Battery Sensor & Battery Negative (-) Cable Assembly Mounting Bolt (Chassis Ground): 

    21.6 ~ 32.4 N.m (2.2 ~ 3.3 kgf.m, 16.0 ~ 23.9 lb-ft)
