Alternator: Service and Repair





Removal and Installation

1. Disconnect the battery negative cable

Tightening torque:
7.8 - 9.8N.m (0.8 - 1.0kgf.m, 5.8 - 7.2lb-ft)

2. Remove the air cleaner assembly.
3. Turn the tensioner counterclockwise and loosen, then remove the drive belt (A).




4. Disconnect the alternator connector (A) and cable (B) from the 'B' terminal.




5. Remove the reservoir tank (A).




6. Remove the alternator (A).

Tightening torque :
26.5 - 33.3 N.m (2.7 - 3.4 kgf.m, 19.5 - 24.6 lb-ft)




7. Installation is reverse order of removal.
