General Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Signal Voltage Check
  • Short to battery, short to ground, open or poor contact on Latch Motor circuit
  • Short to battery, short to ground, open or poor contact on Latch Switch circuit
  • Faulty motor
  • Faulty switch
  • Blown fuse
  • Faulty PTM

    (These troubles may lead the counter direction movement of the trunk lid)

Enable Conditions
  • IG ON
  • In case of faulty Latch Motor
    • Lock latch mechanically after open trunk → Power Striker Full Down (Lock) → Push the Outside Switch
  • In case of faulty switch
    • Repeat Lock/Unlock by the Emergency handle manually.
Threshold Value
  • In case of faulty Latch Motor
    • It is disable to unlock latch after Power Striker Shaft Pop up (Unlock)
  • In case of faulty switch
    • There is no signal change of the latch switch (Lock/Unlock)
    • There is no movement of the Power Striker Shaft (Pop Up & Down)
Diagnostic Time
  • 3 times in sequential (Present DTC)
DTC Erasing Time
  • Erase the present DTC in the moment of Wake-up after Sleep or trouble fixed. (The present DTC → The past DTC)
Limp Home Mode
  • It is available to operate by hand-operated (Except motor stuck)
