July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Communication K LINE Inspection

  1. Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF" and Using a scan tool, clear the DTC.
  2. Ignition "OFF".
  3. Disconnect the battery negative cable, then disconnect the positive cable, and wait at least one minutes.
  4. Disconnect the WCS MODULE from the WCS wiring harness.
  5. Disconnect the SRSCM from the WCS wiring harness.
  6. Measure resistance between of the WCS Communication K LINE wiring connector and BCM harness connector.

    Specification  : approx. 1 Ω below

  7. Is the measured resistance within specifications?

    YES 

    NO 

    • Substitute the SRSCM main harness or WCS Module or SRSCM and check for proper operation.

      If the problem is corrected, replace SRSCM main harness WCS Module or SRSCM and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure and Go to "WCS RESET " procedure.
