MONITOR Scan tool DATA

Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF".
Disconnect IAT sensor connector.
Connect Scan tool and monitor the "INT.AIR TEMP. SNSR (V)" parameter on the Scan tool data list.
Specification: Approx. 5V

Is displayed IAT data within the specification?
YES
- Possibility of sensor malfunction. Refer to COMPONENT INSPECTION .
NO
- Possibility of signal circuit short to ground. Refer to SIGNAL CIRCUIT INSPECTION .
