Manual Transaxle Shift Control: Removal

  1. Remove the console assembly.
    1. Pry the rear upper cover from the floor console with a flat-tip screwdriver.

    2. Remove the front upper cover from the floor console after removing 2 screws.

    3. Remove the floor console mounting screws (2EA) and bolts (2EA).

    4. Remove the floor console assembly after removing 4 screws.

  2. Remove the cotter pins and clips (shift lever side).
  3. Remove the shift lever assembly.
  4. Remove the retainer and bolts.
  5. Remove the cotter pins and clips (Transaxle side).
  6. Remove the shift cable and select cable.
