DESCRIPTION
Some 2004 MY Santa Fe vehicles with 2.4L and 2.7L engines produced from October 9, 2003 may experience a driveline bump when accelerating from a stop after the vehicle has been parked for more than one hour.
The driveline bump may be felt as one, two or three successive bumps between 2-10 mph and may occur only once for each driving cycle. The driveline bump may not occur after the engine and transaxle are at normal operating temperature.
This bulletin provides a procedure to reprogram the transaxle control module (TCM) software in 2004 MY Santa Fe vehicles with 2.4L and 2.7L engines using the Hi-Scan Pro.
