Checking Fluid Level

NOTE: Inspect for leakage in each component and check the oil level by removing the filler plug. If the oil is contaminated, replace it with new oil.
  1. With the vehicle parked on a level surface, remove the filler plug and make sure that the oil level is the same level as the plug hole. See Fig 1 .
  2. Check that the transaxle oil is not dirty.
  3. Fill as necessary with appropriate fluid. See RECOMMENDED FLUID  . Install filler plug and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
