Spark Plug: Testing and Inspection

SPARK PLUG TEST (WHEN ENGINE CAN BE CRANKED)





Connect a spark plug to the high tension cable, ground the outer electrode (main body), and crank the engine. If the spark plug is good, sparks will be produced in the gap. If the spark plug is defective, no sparks will be produced.
