DESCRIPTION

The 1990 Excel Shop Manual, Appendix page 20, illustrates an ignition interlock switch in the starting circuit for manual transmission vehicles to prevent starting the car unless the clutch pedal is fully depressed.

The 1990 Excels are not equipped with this interlock switch. 

The 1990 Excel Owners Manual, page 2-3, is correctly written and states:

"For safety, the engine will not start if the clutch pedal is not depressed fully (if equipped)  ".

The correct electrical diagram for the manual transmission is shown below. Please correct page 20 in the Appendix of your Shop Manual.
