Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2008 Cadillac STS. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Add refrigerant oil to the evaporator core. Refer to Refrigerant System Capacities .
Install the new evaporator core seals to evaporator.

Install the evaporator sensor and harness to the evaporator.

Install the evaporator core.

Connect the HVAC module case halves together.

Reposition and connect the HVAC Module wiring harness (1).

Install the HVAC module retainer clips.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Install the HVAC module case screws.
Tighten: Tighten the screws to 1 N.m (9 lb in).
Install the right side air temperature actuator and linkage. Refer to Air Temperature Actuator Replacement - Right Side .
Install the heater core. Refer to Heater Core Replacement .
Reconnect all associated wiring connections attached to the HVAC module.
Install the HVAC module. Refer to HVAC Module Assembly Replacement .
