Installation Procedure
- Remove the cap from the fuel tank.
- Install the fuel fill pipe bracket to the studs on the fender.
- Install the fuel fill pipe nuts.
Tighten: Tighten the nuts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
- Install the fuel fill hose to the fuel tank. Align the orientation notch (2) on the fuel fill hose to the tab (4) on the fuel tank.
- Tighten the fuel fill hose clamp.
Tighten: Tighten the clamp to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).
- Connect the fuel tank vent line (5) to the fuel fill pipe vent line (1). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
- Connect the fuel fill pipe vent line quick connect (1) to the EVAP canister. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
- Install the bolt securing the fuel fill hose ground strap to the frame.
Tighten: Tighten the bolt to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
- Install the left rear wheelhouse flare. Refer to Rear Wheel Opening Flare Replacement (Rear Bumper w/BRM and RHD) or Rear Wheel Opening Flare Replacement (Rear Body w/BRM and RHD) or Rear Wheel Opening Flare Replacement (Rear Door w/BRM and RHD) or Rear Wheel Opening Flare Replacement (Base Rear Body) or Rear Wheel Opening Flare Replacement (Base Rear Door) .
- Install the left rear wheelhouse liner. Refer to Wheelhouse Panel Replacement (Front) or Wheelhouse Panel Replacement (Rear) .
- Lower the vehicle.
- Refill the fuel tank.
- Install the fuel fill cap.
- Inspect for leaks.
