Tools Required

J 43442  Flywheel Holder

Important:  Engine flywheel and crankshaft rear oil seal removal requires adequate space for removal. Mount the engine on a suitable engine stand which will properly space the engine in order to use the J 42841  to remove the crankshaft rear oil seal. If necessary remove the engine flywheel and crankshaft rear oil seal with the engine properly supported on the floor or on a bench.

  1. Remove the J 43442,  turn around and install the J 43442.

  3. Loosen the eight engine flywheel bolts.
  4. Remove seven of the eight engine flywheel bolts leaving one bolt at the top of the crankshaft rotation.
  5. Remove the J 43442.

    Important:  Do not drop the engine flywheel when removing the final bolt.

  6. Grip the engine flywheel and remove the remaining bolt.
