DTC P2652: Inspection
Rocker Arm Oil Pressure Sensor Inspection
Test Procedure
Oil pressure inspection
- Preparation
- Engine oil: Pour engine oil to the specified level
- Procedure
- Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
- Disconnect the rocker arm oil pressure sensor connector (3P).
- Remove the rocker arm oil pressure sensor (A) from the rocker arm oil control valve (B), and attach the oil pressure hose (C), the pressure gauge adapter (D), the A/T pressure adapter (E), the A/T pressure test hose (F), and the A/T low pressure gauge w/panel (G) as shown, then attach the rocker arm oil pressure sensor with specified torque to the oil pressure gauge adapter.
- Reconnect the rocker arm oil pressure sensor connector (3P).
- Start the engine.
- Hold the engine speed at 3,000 rpm without load (in P or N) until the radiator fan comes on, then let it idle.
- Compare the value of HDS [(Rocker Arm) Oil Pressure Sensor (B)] with the measured value.
- Normal Conditions
- HDS [(Rocker Arm) Oil Pressure Sensor (B)] value and the measured value are about the same.
Results
- If it is abnormal, there is a problem with the rocker arm oil pressure sensor.
VCM System Oil Passage Inspection
Test Procedure
- Procedure
- Check for debris or clogs in the VCM system oil passage.
- Normal Conditions
- There is no debris or clogs.
Results
- If it is abnormal, there is a problem with the VCM system oil passage.
Rocker Arm Oil Control Valve Inspection
Test Procedure
- If the other inspection item(s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining rocker arm oil control valve is the cause.
Results
- There is a problem with the rocker arm oil control valve.
