VSA Modulator-Control Unit Removal and Installation: Removal

NOTE: 

• Review the Service Precautions before doing repairs or service .
• The yaw rate-acceleration sensor is built into the SRS unit.
• Do not damage or drop the VSA modulator-control unit as it is sensitive.
• Do not use power tools when remove the VSA modulator-control unit.
• Do the immobilizer system registration after replacing the VSA modulator-control unit.

   1. Disconnect the 10 mm brake lines (A). 2. Disconnect the 12 mm brake lines (B).

   3. Disconnect the connector (A) by pushing the lock (B) and pulling up the lever (C); the connector disconnects itself.

   4. Remove the VSA modulator-control unit (A) with the bracket (B).

   1. Remove the modulator bracket (A) from the modulator sub bracket (B). 2. Remove the modulator sub bracket from the VSA modulator-control unit (C).
