Starter Removal and Installation: Installation
- Install the starter (A), then tighten the mounting bolts (B).
NOTE:
Always use a new gasket (C).

- Install the lower radiator hose bracket (D) and the dipstick (E).
- Connect the positive starter cable (F) and the S terminal connector (G) to the starter, then install the harness clamp (H). Make sure the crimped side of the ring terminal faces away from the starter when you connect it.
- Install the battery base (see step 51 under ENGINE INSTALLATION
).
- Do the battery installation procedure (see
RECONNECTION
).
- Install the air intake duct (see
FRONT BULKHEAD COVER REPLACEMENT
).
- Start the engine to make sure the starter works properly.
