Brake Hose Replacement: Front

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2014 Honda Ridgeline, 2013 Honda Ridgeline, 2012 Honda Ridgeline, 2011 Honda Ridgeline, and 2010 Honda Ridgeline. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Raise and support the vehicle (see LIFT AND SUPPORT POINTS ).
Remove the front wheel.
Disconnect the brake line (A) from the brake hose (B) using a 10 mm flare-nut wrench (C).

Remove the brake hose clip (A) from the brake hose (B).

Remove the banjo bolt (C), and disconnect the brake hose from the caliper.
Remove the brake hose mounting bolt (D), then remove the brake hose.
Install the brake hose (A) with the mounting bolt (B).

Connect the brake hose to the caliper with the banjo bolt (C) and new sealing washers (D).
Install a new brake hose clip (A) to the brake hose (B) on the bracket, then connect the brake line (C). Do not twist the brake hose.

After installing the brake hose, bleed the brake system (see BRAKE SYSTEM BLEEDING ).
Do the following check:
- Check the brake hose and line joint for leaks, and tighten if necessary.
- Check the brake hoses for interference and twisting.
Clean the mating surfaces of the brake disc and the inside of the wheel, then install the front wheel.
