Navigation Display Does Not Open or Opens Part Way

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2011 Honda Fit, 2010 Honda Fit, and 2009 Honda Fit. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:
  • Check for, and remove, any objects or debris jammed behind the display.
  • If the display's Open/Close button does not work, you must manually open the display to obtain the customer's navigation DVD, Audio CD, and PC card (see CD, DVD, AND PC CARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION  ).
  • Check the vehicle battery condition first.
  • Check the connectors for poor connections or loose terminals.
  1. Press the OPEN/CLOSE button.

    Does the display open normally? 

    YES  - The system is OK at this time.

    NO  - Replace the audio-navigation unit (see AUDIO-NAVIGATION UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION  ).
