Ignition Key Switch Test

NOTE: SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations 4-door (see COMPONENT LOCATION INDEX ), 2-door (see 2-DOOR ), and precautions and procedures (see PRECAUTIONS AND PROCEDURES ) before doing repairs or servicing.

Remove the steering column upper and lower covers (see COLUMN COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
Disconnect the 6P connector (A).

Check for continuity between terminals in each switch position according to the table.

If the continuity is not as specified, the ignition key switch is faulty; replace the steering lock (see CHECK OF LOCK LEVER FORCE ).
