July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Front Impact Sensor Replacement: Installation

  1. Install the front impact sensor (A) with a new TORX bolt (B), using a TORX T30 bit.

  2. Connect the left or right front impact sensor 2P connector (C).
  3. Reinstall the front inner fender (see FRONT INNER FENDER REPLACEMENT ).
  4. Do the 12 volt battery terminal reconnection procedure (see 12 VOLT BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION AND RECONNECTION ).
  5. Clear any DTCs with the HDS (see HOW TO CLEAR DTCS  ).
  6. Confirm proper SRS operation: Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), and check that the SRS indicator comes on for about 6 seconds and then goes off.
