Audio Unit Disc Indicator Does Not Work

NOTE:
- Check the vehicle battery condition first (see BATTERY TEST ).
- Discs with labels should not be used in the audio unit. They may jam and damage the player mechanism.
- Turn on the audio system.
- Insert a known-good disc or press the EJECT button.
Is the DISC indicator (LED) indicated?
YES -The audio unit is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections at audio unit and audio panel.
NO -
- With navigation system: Substitute a known-good audio disc changer (see AUDIO DISC CHANGER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ), and recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away, replace the original audio disc changer (see AUDIO DISC CHANGER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Without navigation system: Substitute a known-good audio unit (see WITHOUT NAVIGATION SYSTEM ), and recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away, replace the original audio unit (see WITHOUT NAVIGATION SYSTEM ). If the symptom is still present, replace the audio switch panel.
