Back-up Light Switch Test

Disconnect the back-up light switch connector.

Check for continuity between the No. 1 and No. 2 terminals of the back-up light switch 2-Pin connector. There should be continuity when the shift lever is in reverse.
If necessary, replace the back-up light switch. Apply liquid gasket (P/N 08718-0001) to the switch threads, and install the switch on the transmission housing.
