Fuel Cut-Off Control

During deceleration and with throttle valve closed, current to fuel injectors is cut off to improve fuel economy at engine speeds over a predetermined RPM. See FUEL CUT-OFF CONTROL SPECIFICATIONS  table. Fuel is also cut-off when RPM exceeds limited engine speed regardless of position of throttle valve. See FUEL CUT-OFF CONTROL SPECIFICATIONS  table.

(1) On A/T models, PCM cuts fuel at speeds above 5000 RPM when vehicle is stopped.
(2) When vehicle is stopped, PCM cuts fuel at speeds above 5500 RPM on A/T vehicles and 6500 RPM on M/T vehicles.
