Variable Valve Timing Solenoid: Service and Repair

SERVICE





1. If VTEC Solenoid Valve tests OK electrically but is suspect remove Valve from the cylinder head.
2. Inspect filter for clogging. If filter is clogged clean filter and change engine oil and filter.
3. If filter is not clogged, push the VTEC solenoid Valve with your finger and check for free movement. If Valve is normal, inspect engine oil pressure.
