Vent/Def Divide Switch Test

  1. Remove divide switch. Place linkage arm in "1" position. See Fig 1 . Connect ohmmeter leads to terminals "B" and "C" on divide switch connector. Continuity should exist.
  2. Place linkage arm in "2" position. Connect ohmmeter leads to terminals "A" and "B" on divide switch connector. Continuity should exist.
  3. No continuity should exist at any other terminals. If switch did not perform as indicated, replace switch.
