Ignition System - HITACHI Electronic: Testing: Igniter
- Remove distributor cap from housing.
- Disconnect wires from igniter unit. Check voltage between the Blue wire and body ground, then the Black/Yellow wire and body ground, with the ignition sw. ON. There should be battery voltage.
- With wires disconnected, check for continuity in both directions. There should be continuity in only one direction.
