July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Simulated High Speed Assist

  1. Check fluid level and belt tension. Start engine and turn steering wheel from lock-to-lock to warm fluid. Stop engine and disconnect all 3 sensor hoses at speed sensor.
  2. Connect Special By-Pass Connector (07406-0010100 ) to the 3 hoses. This will connect 2 hoses from cut-off valve and control unit to reservoir hose and simulates driving speeds over 30 MPH.
  3. Attach spring tension scale to outer end of spoke. With vehicle on clean dry floor, start engine and let idle. Pull on tension scale until tires begin to turn.
  4. Replace speed sensor if turning force is greater than 11 lbs. (4.98 kg). If turning force is less than 11 lbs. (4.98 kg), speed sensor is okay. Check sensor feed line for restriction first, then check pump and gear box.
