Electronic Ignition Timing Advance

Ignition timing is controlled by Engine Control Module (ECM)/Powertrain Control Module (PCM). If ignition signal is not present at ECM/PCM, DTC 14 will set in ECM/PCM memory. For testing procedures, see TESTS W/CODES - 1.6L article. For adjusting procedures, see IGNITION TIMING in ADJUSTMENTS - 1.6L article.
