Driver-Side Inflator Module: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1996 Suzuki Swift, 1996 Pontiac Firefly, and 1996 Geo Metro. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. To install, position driver-side inflator module onto steering wheel. Install 2 Torx head retaining screws and torque them to 89 INCH lbs. (10 N.m).
  2. Reconnect 2 horn wire connectors. Reinstall steering wheel side cover. Reconnect negative battery cable and activate SIR system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
