July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Repair Procedures: Inspection

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
  2. Disconnect the console temperature control actuator and console ON/OFF actuator connector.
  3. Verify that the console temperature actuator and console ON/OFF actuator operates to the cool position when connecting 12V to terminal 7 and grounding terminal 3.

    Verify that the temperature control actuator operates to the warm position when connected in reverse.

  4. Connect the console temperature control actuator and console ON/OFF actuator connector.
  5. Turn the ignition switch ON.
  6. Check the voltage between terminal 4 and 5.
  7. If the measured voltage is not within specification, substitute with a known-good console temperature actuator and console ON/OFF actuator and then check for proper operation.
  8. Replace the console temperature actuator and console ON/OFF actuator if it is proved that there is a problem with it.
