July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Short To Ground Check

  1. Ignition switch is turned "OFF". Disconnect FPCM, fuel pressure sensor connector.
  2. Measure the resistance between power terminal of fuel pressure sensor harness connector and chassis ground.

    Specification:  Infinite ∞Ω

  3. Is the measured resistance within specification?

    YES 

    • Substitute with a known-good FPCM and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace FPCM and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO
