Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Voltage Monitoring
  1. External noise
  2. Faulty HECU
Enable Conditions
  • When the gradient of the sensor signal per 10 milliseconds is larger than 15 bar when any control is not activated.
  • After normal operation of brake light switch, if the pressure sensor signal is higher than 15 bar and brake light switch is low for 3 seconds when any control is not activated, ECU detects the failure.
  • During driving more than 40 kph (24.9 mph) and stop 3 times, if master cylinder pressure is not changed, ECU detects the failure.
Fail Safe
  • Inhibit the ESP (ESC)/DBC/AVH control and allow the ABS/EBD control.
  • The ESP (ESC)/DBC/AVH warning lamp is activated.
