Installation Procedure
- CAUTION:
Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution .
NOTE:Inspect the spark plug for damage and replace as necessary. ONLY the faulty component should be replaced.
Gas Engine Ignition Spark Plug (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
- NOTE:
Inspect the ignition coil for damage and replace as necessary. ONLY the faulty component should be replaced.
Ignition Coil (2) - Install
- Ignition Coil Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
- Connect the electrical connector.
Install the cylinder 4 exhaust camshaft profile actuator-intake (2).
- Exhaust Camshaft Profile Actuator (2) - Install
- Camshaft Position Actuator Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
- Connect the electrical connector.
CAUTION:The guide pin MUST be in the retracted position. Failure to do so will cause damage to the engine. The retracted position is approximately 5 mm from the end of the actuator.
NOTE:The guide pins in the retracted state will protrude approximately 5.05 mm (0.199 in) to 5.36 mm (0.211 in).
Upper Intake Manifold Bracket (1) - Install
- Intake Manifold Brace Nut (2) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications
- Connect the electrical connectors and install the wiring harness retainers as necessary.
{If equipped} Intake Manifold Cover (1) @ Upper Intake Manifold Bracket (2) - Install
If equipped, push down on the front of the intake manifold cover (2).
- {If equipped} Intake Manifold Cover Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
