Circuit Description

The infrared transmitter is grounded and powered by the rear seat audio (RSA) module. When a key on the remote is pressed, the remote control sends an infrared message to infrared transmitter. The infrared transmitter will convert these infrared signals into a frequency and send that message to the radio via the remote infrared signal circuits (+) and (-).
