July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Test C: Only Rear Window Release Function Does Not Operate (1 Of 2)

  1. Place transmission in PARK. Press the rear window release switch on I/P. If endgate opens, go to the next step. If endgate does not open, go to WINDOW/LIFTGATE RELEASE - REAR .
  2. Use a known good transmitter. Disconnect keyless entry module. Connect test lamp to CKT 540 (Utility w/liftgate) or CKT 640 (Utility w/cargo doors, crew cab, suburban) to ground. If test lamp lights, go to the next step. If test lamp does not light, repair CKT 540 or CKT 604.
  3. Test lamp CKT 294 to battery. If test lamp lights, replace keyless entry module and reprogram module to transmitter. See CONTROL MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION and PROGRAMMING  . If test lamp does not light, repair open in CKT 294.
