Rear Gate Trunk Module (RGTM): Removal

  1. NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.
    NOTE: The PMI process must begin with the current RGTM installed. If the current RGTM does not respond to the diagnostic scan tool, the tool may prompt for As-Built Data as part of the repair. Using a diagnostic scan tool, begin the PMI process for the RGTM following the on-screen instructions.

    Remove the LH D-pillar trim panel. Refer to: D-Pillar Trim Panel .

    1. Detach the retainer.
    2. Disconnect the electrical connectors and position aside the electrical harness.

  2. Remove the RGTM.

    1. Release the retaining clips.
    2. Release the tab.
    3. Remove the RGTM.
