DTC P2450 - EVAP System Switching Valve Performance/Stuck Open

DTC DESCRIPTION P2450 - EVAP SYSTEM SWITCHING VALVE PERFORMANCE/STUCK OPEN

Description:  The PCM commands the fuel tank isolation valve (FTIV) closed while a vacuum is present in the fuel tank. This DTC sets when the rate of loss of vacuum in the fuel tank is greater than a calibrated threshold.
Possible Causes: 
  • Large fuel vapor leak
  • Contaminated FTIV
  • FTIV stuck open
  • Damaged FTIV
  • Contaminated fuel vapor vent valve (FVVV)
  • FVVV stuck open
  • Damaged FVVV
Diagnostic Aids:  Retrieve all continuous memory and on-demand self-test DTCs from the PCM. Diagnose and repair circuit DTC P2418 or any FTP sensor concerns before diagnosing this performance DTC.
Application  Key On Engine Off  Key On Engine Running  Continuous Memory 
All GO to PINPOINT TEST HX .
