Roof Opening Panel Shield Operating Cable And Guide: Installation

- To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTE: Both roof opening panel shield operating cable and guides must be positioned 50.8 mm (2 in.) from the back of the guide rail. This measurement will set the cable timing.
Install and position the roof opening panel shield operating cable and guide 50.8 mm (2 in.) from the back of the guide rail.

NOTE: After the tension is set it can be locked by pulling out on the shaft with a slight twisting motion until a click is felt indicating that the tension is locked.
If installing the existing shield and pretension was lost, reset pretension by rotating the shaft clockwise 23 turns and then lock the tension by pulling out on the shaft with a slight twisting motion until a click is felt indicating that the tension is locked.
