Battery Current Sensor: Removal
NOTE:
When the battery is disconnected and connected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the vehicle relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven to allow the PCM to relearn the adaptive strategy values.
- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
- Remove the RH fender splash shield. Refer to: Fender Splash Shield .

NOTE: The battery current sensor must be installed in the proper position and orientation to function correctly. Verify the tape tab is positioned away from the battery.
Remove the nut and position the negative battery cable aside. Disconnect the battery current sensor electrical connector. Index-mark the battery cable at the battery current sensor. Remove and discard the tape securing the battery current sensor to the battery cable and remove the battery current sensor.
Torque: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)
