Erase All Keys And Program Two Keys - With Intelligent Access (IA)

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2013 Lincoln MKX and 2013 Ford Edge. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: Program a minimum of 2 keys into the vehicle.
NOTE: To enter PATS security access if no programmed Intelligent Access (IA) keys are available, start a vehicle session using a tear tag or PCM part number. Refer to Inspection and Verification in MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK to start a session. PATS security access can still be granted even with the ignition off.
  1. From the scan tool, enter TOOLBOX. Select Body>Security>PATS Functions and follow the Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) on-screen instructions to enter PATS security access.
  2. From the scan tool menu select "Ignition Key Code Erase" and follow the IDS on-screen instructions until the key erase procedure completes.
  3. All keys are now erased. Leave the scan tool connected and follow the Program Additional Ignition Key - With Intelligent Access (IA) procedure to program 2 keys.
