July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Torca® Clamp

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2014 Lincoln MKX and 2014 Ford Edge. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the nut from the Torca® clamp.
  2. Grind the spot weld from the Torca® clamp and remove the clamp.
  3. Clean the Torca® clamp surface area on the muffler and tailpipe assembly and then position a new Torca® clamp.
  4. NOTE: Make sure the clamp position is no more than 10 mm (0.393 in) to 13 mm (0.511 in) from the inlet of the muffler and tailpipe assembly.

    Make sure the button is fully seated inside the notch.

  5. NOTE: Do not tighten the clamp until the exhaust system has been aligned.

    Tighten the Torca® clamp.

    • Tighten to 47 Nm (35 lb-ft).
