Cruise Control: Description and Operation

Cruise Control

The cruise control system consists of the following components:

- Cruise control switches
- Cruise control deactivator switch
- Clutch pedal cruise control deactivator switch (manual transmission)
- Cruise control indicator
- PCM
- Clockspring

During normal driving the vehicle speed may vary slightly from the set speed due to road conditions. The vehicle speed may fluctuate when driving up and down a steep hill. If the vehicle speed decreases more than 16 km/h (10 mph) below set speed, the cruise control disengages.
