Cross-Member: Service and Repair

TRANSMISSION SUPPORT CROSSMEMBER







1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.







2. Remove the 2 transmission mount nuts from the transmission support crossmember.
- To install, tighten to 90 Nm (66 lb-ft).

3. CAUTION: Do not allow the transmission to hang freely.

Support the transmission with a suitable jack.







4. NOTE: 4x4 transmission support crossmember shown, 4x2 transmission support crossmember similar.

Remove the transmission support crossmember.
1. Remove the 6 transmission support crossmember bolts and nuts (3 each side).
- To install, tighten to 99 Nm (73 lb-ft).

2. Remove the transmission support crossmember.

5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
