Power Steering Pump: Notes

Special Tool(s)
CAUTION:
Do not remove the power steering pulley from the power steering pump. The power steering pulley is not removable and damage to the pulley may occur.
- Remove the engine appearance cover.
- Remove the cleaner and the air cleaner outlet tube. For additional information, refer to REMOVAL & INSTALLATION in Engine Performance .
- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position on hoist.
- Remove the LH front frame rail deflector shields.
- Remove the components in the order indicated in the following illustration and table.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Fill, purge and leak test the system. For additional information, refer to POWER STEERING SYSTEM PURGING and POWER STEERING SYSTEM FILLING .
