July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Occupant Classification Sensor

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Mercury Marauder, 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis, and 2003 Ford Crown Victoria. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
CAUTION: If installing only the front passenger seat cushion trim cover, the occupant classification sensor must be rezeroed.

The occupant classification sensor is found only on the front passenger seat and was not equipped on all vehicles. A white tag having the letters "OCS" (occupant classification sensor) will appear under the front of the passenger seat identifying a seat equipped with an occupant classification sensor. For additional information on the occupant classification sensor, refer to AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS .
