Test A: All Power Windows Inoperative
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect master window control switch harness connector located in driver's door panel arm rest. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION . Turn ignition switch to ON position. Measure voltage between ground and master window control switch harness connector terminal No. 2. See Fig 1 . If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is less than 10 volts, go to step 3 .
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Measure resistance in Light Blue/Black wire between ground and master window control switch harness connector terminal No. 5. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace master window control switch. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open in Light Blue/Black wire between master window control switch and ground. Ground point is located behind left kick panel.
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Remove window safety relay from relay box 1. See Fig 2 . Check window safety relay. See WINDOW SAFETY RELAY under COMPONENT TESTS. If window safety relay is okay, repair open in Red/Light Blue wire between window safety relay and battery junction box and/or Black/Pink wire between window safety relay and central junction box. If window safety relay is not okay, replace window safety relay. Clear DTCs and retest system operation.
